Start with the actual question
Each guide should answer one distinct reader need. We explain where that answer applies and link to related tasks rather than stretching one page across unrelated problems.
Use evidence that fits the claim
Equipment guidance should draw on the relevant manufacturer’s documentation and identify model differences. Public-health and safety claims need authoritative sources. Reader experiences can reveal useful questions; they do not replace verified instructions.
Show what we know
We distinguish researched guidance from hands-on testing. We do not claim personal use, professional qualifications or product test results without evidence. Illustrative images are not evidence of an installation or test.
Keep the limits visible
Pool systems vary. Where a procedure depends on a model, surface, location or measurement, the guide should make that dependency clear. Tasks requiring a qualified professional should be identified in the relevant context.
Correct and maintain
Report a potential error through our contact page with the article URL, the disputed passage and any supporting source. Substantive updates should be reflected in the article’s updated date.
Separate recommendations from commissions
Any future affiliate relationship should be disclosed near recommendations. Merchant payments must not turn unsupported claims into editorial conclusions.
